Thanks for listening! I'm playing bass on Snake Oil Wells. The drums are loops of drum tracks that either Vir Unis or I had made... Layers of loops coming out of Sonic Foundry /Sony Acid ... Into a mixer on separate channels so John / Vir could control volumes via hardware mixer instead of computer. I play mostly bass on the concert, trumpet on one track Endless Coral, and juno 106.
Pat - I used to play live a ton... I played countless bars, clubs, and colleges from 1985 to 1998 - those were usually more rock gigs. Since then - I "retired" from rock gigs - and focused on my personal music (usually ambient, but not always...) - and have played only 2 gigs:
1) Milwaukee in 2001 with Vir Unis - which you can read a bit about here:
You can hear a track from it - on this track I'm playing trumpet:

2) a live improv gig on a Chicago area radio station with James Johnson and Vir Unis - we played for nearly 4 hours. I went in totally cold as I live a bit away from those two. I took my bass and a couple of effects - and either played straighter basslines or wall of effect soundscape stuff with my bass. Very fun!
Is that your rabbit in your profile pic? Some years ago my friend made his girlfriend get rid of her rabbit because he wanted to get a dog. So I took the rabbit for my kids. When I picked it up it was late. But, she said something that perplexed me. I didn't think to ask then, I was tired. The next day I asked my friend...."Did she say it was litter trained?" He said yes, she spent a lot of time with it. So I set a cat litter box down. And he went back to it every time!! I have no idea how she achieved that feat. But he was an awesome pet!! We never even kept him in a cage. He slept in our bed. He acted like a dog. He was a Polish Dwarf Rabbit. I miss him, he passed away about 4 years ago. That was one smart little guy!! I'm sorry, I'm rambling on......it was just an interesting story I thought you might enjoy (Seeing that you like rabbits.). : )
I saw your comment on my UFO photo, which is not a photo at all. It's a painting. The artist's name is Jeff Neff (I'm not 100% sure about his first name). But yes he is an AMAZING artist I found on the internet. A lot of his works do look like photos. I draw myself and have to admit his work is superior to most artists. But I'm glad you liked it also. If you go through my photos, you'll find more of Mr. Neff's work. ENJOY!! : )
