At the Edge of Everything

Spiral Meditations

I have been working on these two new releases throughout the year, and I'm excited to announce they are here and shipping now! I kept these mostly under the radar during their creation, waiting to announce these until they've arrived from the factory and ready to ship in beautiful Digipak cases. Bandcamp has both titles up now, with iTunes to follow soon. — Steve

At the Edge of Everything documents a peak moment in Steve Roach's live concert odyssey in Europe over a ten-year span. Recorded at the E-Live festival in The Netherlands, 2000, it represents the zenith of that period in his deep organic / tribal ambient sound, fused with a vibrant core of trance grooves and sequencer passages, shamanic electronic and atmospheric soundworlds. The entire concert is taken to the next level with guests Vidna Obmana on fujara (overtone flute) and Jeffrey Fayman on frame drum. The interaction on "Apparition Collaboration" especially shows the spirit of riding the edge, with Steve on didgeridoo and Vidna Obmana on fujara in full bloom. At the Edge of Everything is volcanic in its expression of the power of sound and the spontaneous, focused energy drawn from the moment. Equally impressive is the dynamic serpentine set as it emerges from what feels like the near future. Truly music for the time of now, as we are at the edge of everything.
On Spiral Meditations, Steve Roach captures sacred geometry in motion. Seven shimmering, spiraling, gravity-defying musical mandalas create a kind vibrancy and energy that feeds the senses in a way that only nuanced, emotion-filled sequencer-based music can. At the same time, an overall atmosphere of tranquility permeates the listening space as each spiral meditation unwinds into the elegant beauty of the next piece, revealing delicate lattice-like melodic and rhythmic strands woven into intricate patterns. Created in the Timeroom in 2013, this is music to invigorate the heart, mind, spirit — and imagination

I just hit 'view in your browser', it seems to only be happewning on this particular post, at least. Well, hopefully it's just me.

No it's not just you - it originally was showing only a 1/3 of the text... I got it that far in and then got sidetracked from fixing it.  I should just delete the text and say _ click here to read the new STeve Roach update!

Sorry for the confusion!   Copy/paste of an article works 99.9999% of the time -this one is that 0.0001% - and I know exactly why - it's just fighting me. :-)
