Steve Brand_The Track Of The Full Moon On Water

Previously unavailable and exclusively on Bandcamp, “Track Of The Full Moon On Water” was created in 2010 during the sessions for my album, “Catalyst,” as a long form version (70 minutes) of the track, “Track Of The Moon On Water.” TFMW, composed entirely of keyboard, is probably one of the most simple, quiet and most placid long form pieces I've ever made.

The title was inspired by a euphemism for the goddess/ascended master, Quan Yin, whose gentle demeanor and beautiful story (to postpone her own ascension until all of humanity is enlightened) always touches me. More than that, I remember that the initial elements for this piece were recorded on a beautiful sunny Saturday morning here at The Treehouse (my name for my studio in my home). For me, this piece is imbued with an abiding sense of peace and serenity that perfectly describes my home and studio.

a beautiful vision always carry a beautiful music. a beautiful music always carry a beautiful vision. your song does. and it reminds me to my creation of Hehet (Hauhet, the egypt goddess of infinity). just like your track of the full moon on water this is my most placid song. beautiful, Steve.

Thanks to Carl, Christian and Dave for being the first to purchase this music. It's great to know that folks are appreciating Bandcamp and that posting work there is worthwhile.

Enjoy, Greg.

I am actually very thankful for your move to Bandcamp as well as to other artists... For me, I have lost a lot of space to a growing family. CD collections (once having 1,000+, Jazz, Ambient and Classical) became an issue. Now, I am 100% dependent on files (kind of sad really) and FLAC for me is ideal for its HiFi qualities.

This AM, I am finding TFMW nicely immersive... A Salah for a busy household! Thanks again Steve!! :-)

Great, Dave. Glad you're enjoying the music.

I know what you mean about limited space. I've really been trying to be more mindful myself of my space and what's in it. My house was built in 1948 and is just under 1000 feet, so space is at a premium!

This was a pleasure to hear, simply luminous through and through. One of your most serene pieces, thoroughly relaxing - well done, Steve!

Actually, TFMW was going to be disk two for "Catalyst," but I reconsidered just a few weeks before the final release date.
