Nerdy Needs, Done Nerd Cheap!

Last night my wife and I just had to catch the first episode of the new reality show, "King of the Nerds" on TBS.

OK, it was a typical reality show formula: Assemble people with egos and insecurities, make them clash into conflicts, exploit them a little, and compete in over-hyped competitions.  Despite this, I actually enjoyed it, probably because of the fact that I am a self-professed nerd! The only real complaint I had was that despite the population of scientists, mathematicians, gamers, and comic book experts, there were no nerds representing electronic music!  Hmmmm...maybe we're all a lot hipper that we thought! So, don't hide your hobby in the garage or the basement! Get down with your electronic self, buy that Kraftwerk CD box set, feel free at parties to make off-hand comments about VCO's and discrete circuitry, take a synthesizer to lunch, and wear those "My Other Synth is a Buchla" T-Shirts! (Sorry, told you I was a nerd!)
