On this Wednesday night's edition of Nightscaping Radio on Stillstream: I'll be featuring tracks from the album "Inside The Hollow Realm" by Numina and Caul, celebrating its 10th anniversary of its release in 2014. Also, new to the show - music by Frore, Stillstream's Featured Artist of The Month for April; new dark tracks by Cousin Silas, music by Disturbed Earth, and stuff by That Bald Guy™...err...Har. Starts at 7:00PM
This isn't actually a question, it's more my opinion on a certain matter.
I don't see why anybody should name a release "Album Name EP" or "Album Name (EP)".
I think it's kind of apologizing for the length of a release. If a release makes sense as a collection of tracks that add up to a certain length, then that's it. If it's 20 minutes it's 20 minutes.
I think it's especially true since digital distribution has more or less done away with standard album length (which…Continue

February 25th of this year would be the 60th birthday of the incredibly talented painter and musician Lucette Bourdin, who unfortunately passed away in 2011.
In honor of this occasion, Free Floating is spearheading a month-long tribute and celebration of Lucette, her music, and her painting.

The latest release from Free Floating has been available for a little over a week now and I wanted to feature it here on Relaxed Machinery for those of you haven't heard it.
Daniel is one of my favorite Free Floating artists. He composes the most beautifully serene music.

Well, folks. I've had this music sitting on my hard drive for the longest time and decided, as a sort of New Year resolution of sorts, to just let out into the wild.
I feel somewhat sheepish releasing my own work via my own label, so this is simply self-released.
I've played various tracks on my show, so there won't be anything egg-cracking new. But I hope that you might enjoy some of…Continue

The other morning I was hit by a bolt of inspiration, “It’s time for another Free Floating compilation.” There have been the two Christmas compilations, and the label’s inaugural release, Conception, is nearly a year ago. So it’s time for something new.
So I am here issuing an official call for submissions for the next Free Floating compilation: a.m.
