Artist Spotlight: Kebu

If you grew up in the 70’s and 80’s, the image is iconic: The prog-rock keyboardist, on stage, surrounded by a framework of overlapping synthesizers, cables everywhere, lights flashing, speakers blaring, and fingertips producing sounds beyond anyone's imagination.  Back in the day, we idolized the multi-dexterous talents of rock and space artists like Jean Michel Jarre, Mike Oldfield, Rick Wakeman, and Vangelis, who could create a rock symphony with only…

The profoundness of the personal echoes

a while ago I shared some personal insights into how I think about music and how we developed to define the state of music today in my very humble opinion. Please look here for these thoughts: how the world changed between folklore and art (a cosmic question)

I also shared with you a while ago, a few thoughts on some of my personal choices…

New Podcast : EarthStream Listening Lounge

Saturday was a damp day and now suffering with Tinnitus which is playing havoc with my concentration I decided to put a podcast together.  One hour of uninterrupted ambient music was just what I needed.

One hour of ambient will be posted on the first Sunday of every month.

Any feedback will be much appreciated :)

The age of tuning

The Earth is changing, humans are changing, we have technical progress, many machines, phasing on frequencies that are unearthly and unnatural.

The world is sound (nada brahma). sounds and colours (the reflections of mankind) are just frequently repeated structures from cosmos. All is anchored in universe, so we are. we come from there and we will go there. But this life we live on Earth, orbiting around the Sun in correlation to the planets of our Solar system and to the stars and…

My review of "Ambient, Landscape And Space" CDr/DVDr by Amongst Myselves

It's always very interesting and challenging to see an ambient artist who pays attention also to the visual part of his compositions. But a CD/DVDr combined release is nothing new for Australian Steve Roberts, the protagonist of Amongst Myselves. Back in 2007 he has released his album "Auburn Silhouette" with bonus DVDr…
