Tell us about yourself!
I live in San Antonio, Texas with my lovely wife Kathy and lovely dog Sparky. I enjoy music, the outdoors, food, beer, cooking, art, photography, family, musical instruments and books. I played in rock bands in the late 1960's and through the '70's. Discovered electronic music in college in the early '70's and ambient music in the late '70's. Enjoy making music in my small home studio. I have never released anything and probably never will as I am a big time procrastinator.

A couple of years ago I bought these units although some I know warned me that it was probably too deep for me. They were right!  These units are in good shape with latest software and manuals. The Capybara 320 is the basic model. I'm asking $1250 for them plus shipping. I…

I just read on the Hypnos forum that Barry Craig also known as A Produce has passed away at the age of 59. He was a great ambient artist and from what I've read from people who knew him, a great human being. He will be missed.

Drummers? Roll Call

Posted on May 5, 2011 at 3:33pm 4 Comments

After looking at John's post about bass players, I started thinking about how many drummers there might be on this forum. Probably not as many as other instruments, this being mostly about ambient music and such. It might be interesting, though.   I started out playing drums in the mid '60's in a folk rock later psychedelic band. I still have my old Ludwig 4 piece drum set (with a finish just like Ringo's). I later switched to playing keyboards , winds, guitar as well as percussion in a later… Continue

Cool Harry! Partch isn't a light read, but his knowledge is in-depth and his writing style way entertaining. He sets everything out clearly, but since he's basically resurrecting a lost language (Just Intonation), one must read carefully and let it sink in. Well worth the effort! :)

Hi, Harry! :-)

Yeah, as myself I didn't have a whole lot to say, but maybe under the Hypnos cloak I'll be able to be more of a presence around here...
