Ghost Gormley

The way that this Antony Gormley figure stands in the Water of Leith below the hanging branches of the trees tends to make me smile as I approach it along the riverside path. It can have a little creepiness from this approach that the other five figures do not have. Closer up, it is as calm and contemplative and inspiring as the rest, but I can almost imagine that it would be slightly amused by the idea of the fact that, from this viewpoint, it can almost come across as an actor in an awful slasher movie.

Uncanny how it goes both ways - several different crops of this would all make nice album covers.
