Thanks John, it's from this morning's bike run. I like to take a few snaps when I'm out on the bike then tweak a few to get this slightly eerie look. This is the route of an old railway line. In the UK in the 60s around 30% of the rail network was dismantled in response to increasing competition from road transport. It was known as the "Beeching Cuts" after the government minister who proposed the changes. The lines lay derelict for decades but in recent times many have be reinstated as part of a national cycle network. I love the ghosts that echo around these routes - a few miles from where this photo was taken is a station platform with no station, where you can wait for a train that will never arrive.....
